The Sunset Room at National Harbor

The Sunset Room by Wolfgang Puck on the National Harbor is a beautiful event space conveniently close to downtown Washington, D.C. The panoramic windows offer views of the Potomac River and The Capital Wheel, which was all aglow for this springtime wedding. A perfectly elegant and modern atmosphere, it made a great canvas on which Kara and Peter designed the wedding of their dreams.

While the reception and the couple and bridal party photo sessions took place at The Sunset Room by Wolfgang Puck, the ceremony was in D.C., at Georgetown University. The breathtaking Dahlgren Chapel of the Sacred Heart was lovely for a traditional ceremony, before we jetted into Maryland inside the bridal party’s oh-so-fun party bus. Once at the Sunset Room, we captured some stunning moments with the Potomac River and Capital Wheel in the background. 

The Bride & Groom

Kara and Peter met while both attending George Mason University. After a long friendship (and a few trips to the emergency room), the two embarked on a six-year dating relationship before Peter finally popped the question.
