Engagement Photos: When to Take Them & What to Do With Them
When To Take Engagement Photos
The best time to take engagement photos is usually within the first 3 months of getting engaged. This way you can get to know your photographer better and become comfortable in front of the camera. Engagement Session’s are a great way to test run how it feels to be the subject of a photo shoot. For some clients, posing will come naturally, for others it takes some getting use to. Working with your photographer during the engagement session is a great practice run for your wedding day.
What to Do With Your Engagement Photos
Once you’ve taken your engagement photos, it’s time to put them to work! There are multiple uses for your engagement photos besides you and your fiancé just looking nice in them.
First: Use them for Engagement Announcements
Whether you just want to announce your new engagement on social media or send them out in the mail, your engagement photos are perfect for this!
Second: Use them for Your Wedding Website
Wedding websites are great for general information on your wedding, RSVPs, and your wedding registry.
Third: Save The Dates
What better way to invite your friends and family to your wedding than to use your engagement photos as the main subject?
Fourth: Decorate your Reception
Use your engagement photos to decorate your reception! Your engagement photos are perfect for decorating around your guest signage book and for guest tables.
Fifth: Decorate your Home
You can also use your engagement photos for fresh wall-art in your home or apartment. You could even showcase them on a side table or shelf.
